A Message from the South Croydon Benefice

Dear Friends

 All are welcome at our services.  As restrictions ease, please note:

* You do not need to register to attend a service

* Congregation members are now permitted to sing

* Do not attend if you feel unwell

* Please use hand sanitiser

* Please consider wearing a face covering, especially in crowded areas

* Please respect those who would like more space. Parts of each church will continue with 2m spacing for those who would prefer to keep their distance.

* You may scan the QR code on entry, or fill in a contact tracing slip, to help with Track and Trace.  Contact tracing slips will be available as you enter; ask a welcomer or a sideperson if you need one

* The use of the common cup remains suspend.

* The peace should be shared with a smile and a wave rather than physical touch.

*Single-use service sheets are in use - please take them away and (if possible) bring them back the following week.

We hope that you will want to join some of our services, but rest assured that we will maintain an online presence if you are not ready to come back.

Please be assured of our prayers for the whole community in this challenging time.

With every blessing

Lighting Improvements at St. Peter's

St. Peter's Church lighting proposal has recieved approvals to progress. Work started in September.  Whilst the work inside has been finished some external works will be finished in the new year.   We celebrate the improvements with a 'Lighting Up South Croydon' event on Sunday 12th December at 17:30. All are welcome to see how our darkness has been lightened.

The project will cost just over £150,000 of which £100,000 has already been raised by fund raising over many years.  We have a short fall of £50,000 and we continue to fund raise to fill the gap.   You can support the fundraising events as well as making donations to a specific item via the giving station in St. Peter's or speak to the Church Wardens re alternative payment options.  Please see the attached document for more details
